Mexican Layered Dip (Game Day Favorites- Year One: Volume 8; November, 2010)


Prep time: 15 min
Ready in: 15 min
Serves: 8- 10

Ingredients:
2 large cans spicy refried beans
1 c. picante sauce
2 c. guacamole
1/2 pkg. taco seasoning
1 (16- 32 oz.) container sour cream
1 c. green onions or chives- minced (*Rebecca used red onions)
1 c. black olives- chopped
2 c. tomatoes- chopped
2 lb. cheddar cheese- shredded
1 bag tortilla chips (for dipping)
*Optional: 1 c. jalapeños- chopped

Directions:
- Spread beans on bottom of large baking dish
- Spread picante sauce over top of beans
- Spread a layer of guacamole over picante sauce
- Add taco seasoning to sour cream and spread on top of the guacamole layer
- Sprinkle with green onions/ chives, olives, tomatoes, and cheese (and jalapeños if desired, or, like Rebecca, you may put the jalapeños on the side!)
- Serve with chips
