DIY Pizza Bar (DIY Pizza Bar- Year Five: Volume 7; October, 2014)




Prep time: 1 hour, 30 min
Cook time: 10- 25 min
Ready in: 1 hour, 40 min- 2 hours, 5 min
Serves: 6- 12

Ingredients:
1 pkg. Trader Joe's white pizza dough
1 pkg. Trader Joes' whole wheat pizza dough
2 tubs pizza sauce
1 jar pesto
1 lb. mozzarella- shredded
1 lb buffalo mozzarella- sliced
6 oz. goat cheese- crumbled
1/2 red onion- sliced
1/2 yellow onion- sliced
1/2 red bell pepper- sliced
1/2 yellow bell pepper- sliced
1 box small, heirloom tomatoes- halved
1 box mushrooms- sliced
10 cloves garlic- minced
1 can black olives- sliced
1 can artichoke hearts- drained, quartered
2 c. arugula
1 lb. brussel sprouts- halved, roasted
6 oz. prosciutto
6 oz. salami- sliced
8 oz. sausage- crumbled, sautéed
Parmesan cheese- grated, for serving
Crushed red peppers- for serving

Directions:
- Let dough rest in floured bowl, about 15- 20 min
- Preheat oven to 450
- Stretch dough out to desired pizza size (we found that it held the stretch remarkably better on the baking sheet with a Silpat liner than the one without)
- Pre-bake dough until very lightly browned, about 5- 10 min
- Remove crust from oven and top as desired
- Return to oven and bake until cheese is browned and crust is desired crispiness, around 5- 15 min more
- Serve with Parmesan cheese and crushed red peppers

- Let dough rest in floured bowl, about 15- 20 min


 - Stretch dough out to desired pizza size (we found that it held the stretch remarkably better on the baking sheet with a Silpat liner than the one without)






 - Remove crust from oven and top as desired
